James Maces’s collection contains over 2,5 thousand items of books and periodicals as well as personal archive of the researcher who was one of the first to explore Ukrainian famine 1932-1933. He was a historian, public activist, essay writer, and lecturer at NaUKMA. The main part of collection are the works of historians and politicians about Ukrainian history of the XX century. Personal archive of James Mace describes his academic, pedagogical, public activity and allows to reconstruct the history of his researches during the time when his works where forbidden in public and intellectual space of USSR.
